Ubuntu 15.10 fresh install work smoothly?
I'm curious whether anyone has tried a fresh install of 15.10 on the XPS 13? I am using a fresh install of 15.04 and it seems to work pretty smooth.
Did you apply any patches? Or just enable the proprietary driver?
The only issue I've seen reported so far is:

I'm going to try doing an upgrade today. I'll let you know how I go.

I've been using it for a few months while it was still in development. It's pretty stable on the early 2015 XPS 13. (Note that I'm using an Intel wireless card.) The only issue is that keyboard backlight bug. I reported it elsewhere a while ago but haven't had the time to work on the bug myself.

I didn't do a fresh install--I upgraded in place from 15.04.
So far, it works pretty well. I think I'm getting fewer lock-ups during suspend.
However, the driver for the Broadcom card has not changed. I still can't connect my Bluetooth mouse, and sometimes it won't automatically reconnect to my hidden wifi network after resume. So, same as 15.04.
Other than that, I'm pretty happy with 15.10.

I've also run through the upgrade process to 15.10, and can confirm the experiences listed above. Still the Broadcom problems, new keyboard backlight issue (minor). It basically seems OK but I need to test how good the power management is and also battery life before I will be happy.
(I still have the channels 12 and 13 issue, I know I need to call pro support for that one at some point)
