What are the OS and Dell Uility partitions?
I upgraded my laptop to Ubuntu 13.04 and noticed that there's two partitions on the drive, OS and Dell Utility (screenshot: http://imgur.com/75PElV7 )
What are these and how can I make them go away? Do I need them?

The Dell Utility partition is a partition that contains some hardware analysis software for testing your laptop to make sure its components are functioning.
The OS partition I think is the recovery partition of the original Ubuntu installation. You can delete both if you wish, but I would recommend that you create a backup of the original Ubuntu os before doing so. (Having one has saved my bacon on multiple occasions.)
