Windows recovery if dual boot procedure does not work

I am considering purchasing a new Dell laptop that will be primarily used for linux development.  However, the flexibility of a dual-boot system is appealing.  If I were to choose a laptop that is sold by Dell with Ubuntu as an OS option, and instead purchase it with Windows, is there any kind of recovery procedure that can be used to restore Windows in the event the dual boot procedure does not go as expected?

Symptoms

When your computer is unable to boot to the operating system even after repeated attempts, it automatically starts SupportAssist OS Recovery. The recovery environment enables you to diagnose hardware issues, repair your computer, back up your files, or restore your computer to its factory state.

If you do not have SupportAssist installed on your computer, refer to the Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery User’s Guide for information on how to install it.
