Hi,
i want to second this question. When will we be able to buy a xps 13 skylake developer edition again?
Especially in Europe, Germany.
Would be glad to hear any information at all. Even the press is quiet...

Hi,
I guess you can't be pinned down on exact dates but can you give an indication if it's weeks or months away - promise not to hold you to it...
I'd like to hold off and get a developer edition but would I miss anything buying now and installing ubuntu myself. I presume I can still apply any bios updates after. The intel wifi looks like the main thing.
While I'm posting I'd like to say thanks for the Linux support, Linux support is a deciding factor in my purchase.

Thats great news!
I would have ordered a 2016 xps 13 already if there weren't the issues with wifi and the like so I am very excited to hear that its not going to be too long til the release of the current models developer-edition!
So thanks to all the folks at Dell being committed to Linux-Support on this tempting device!
For me a non-touch xps 13 with an i5 and 16GB ram at a reasonable price-point would absolutely cut the mustard :emotion-15:
Joining the crossed-fingers-committee in the meanwhile...

to the folks who are subscribed to this thread eagerly waiting for some news regarding the 2016 edition of the 13" xps:
a more recent thread has popped up basically about the same issue providing some good and (from my POV) bad news (-> no 16gb with FHD possible).
