Just to be clear:

You installed a new hard drive, installed XP on it, and now it won't play a game?   Exactly what message do you get from Toontown?   And did it work before you put in the new drive?

But a place to start:   I suspect you're still missing drivers, such as the video driver  - the operating system alone won't have them all.     Below is a general guide to what drivers you need to install and in what order - if you have the Resource CD (also known as Drivers and Utilities CD) you can insert the disk and install them from there instead of from the web site:

For  your 310 all you need are Desktop System Software, Chipset, Video, Audio, network (the ethernet adapter for broadband internet), and modem (if you have dial up)

The drivers for your E310 below.   If you enter your service tag it should return only the devices you have.   You only need drivers at this point - skip anything that says BIOS, applications, and firmware.    If you do use the web site I'd recommend skipping the Download Manager and use just the regular browser download for each driver.
