U2415, Linux (Fedora 23), loses color setting when switching inputs
I just purchased a new Dell Ultrasharp 2415 monitor. I'm using it on two different systems - a laptop connected via DP and a desktop connected via HDMI. Whenever I switch inputs, the monitor seems to lose it's color setting. I've tried both to set it to 6500K and to a custom setting (which was tweaked and then profiled using Argyll CMS). Whenever I switch from the desktop to the laptop and back again, the monitor is distinctly purplish. Opening the monitor's OSD, switching color modes to something else, and then switching it back again seems to get the color back to what I want, but this is not an acceptable long-term solution. I usually switch the display back and forth between the laptop and the desktop several times a day. Both systems are running Linux (Fedora 23). I've left colord (the Linux color management software) running and then disabled it, both with the same effect, so I don't think it's a system software issue. Can any explain what's going on? Is there something wrong with this monitor? Why won't the color setting stick?
Thanks.
