I think the problem comes from "Synaptics Capabilities" but when I compare to synaptic, I also see that "Synaptics Edges" have changed.

I tried to remove packages but the result is that I have no touchpad anymore.

Thanks for the follow up domak!

I've shared this with the dev team and they are working on an enhancement that should resolve this, to be published here soon. Do you have any updates pending in the update manager? If so could you please try installing all available to see if it has any effect.

Thanks,

No updates in dell repo. The only updates I got are:

Get:1 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main linux-firmware all 1.127.12 [23,3 MB]
Get:2 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main linux-libc-dev amd64 3.13.0-53.88 [778 kB]

linux-firmware package contains firmware for broadcom but I didn't see any upgrade for touchpad (I may be wrong). After reboot I still don't have right click.

Seems that a lot of problems are resolved with ubuntu 15.04. But installation can be tricky for some people (missing broadcom wifi and bluetooth, not clear what I have to do with UEFI, grub, etc).
Could you ask devs why the  dist upgrade does not work (lot of post in above forum that describe the problem. It should help a lot.

By the way, why do you post here, there are much more activity in the sputnik forums, no?

@Oscargm,

I've just been informed this should be posted to the Canonical PPA for Dell by the end of this week (6/5/15).
