Latitude E6400: accesss BIOS options

I have a Latitude E6400 n-series. In windows you can access lots of BIOS options to disable devices (dvd, bluetooth, wifi, card-reader, firewire, ecc.), but when you use linux (I'm running ubuntu) there's no way to re-enable them at all!!

Since it seems to me that the BIOS runs linux, can you provide a library to access the options?
