Hyper-V DR solution comparable with VMware Site Recovery Manager ?

Hello,

What is Hyper-V DR solution comparable with VMware SRM ?

Is it based on System Center ?

Could we propose VNX with async replica (MV or Recoverpoint) and  ESI to build this solution ?

Do we have something already prepared like powershell script or something similar ?

Thanks a lot

regards

Wthout getting into competitive discussions, ,Microsoft has nothing like SRM.

Microsoft solution for site DR with Hyper-V is Failover Cluster. (That is more like VMware HA)

Failover Cluster is a native Windows solutions (no need for extra license) that was originaly built to protect against server fault. EMC can expand that capability so Failover Cluster can protect against site failure.

Our solutions for that are:

- Cluster Enabler (a plugin for Microsoft Failover Cluster that works with traditional storage replication like MV or RP)

- VPLEX (that do not require any plugin and also works with CSV for active/active environments)

None of those solution requires System Center.

Rafa

We could Propose a Solution with a Runbook Approach in System Center Orchestrator.

That would enable you to Bring Down VM´s on SIte A and Import them on Site B

But the Automation is not Predefined like in SRM.
