1800FP Warranty Issue Question? Problem.....

What do You do when you have a STAND ALONE DELL BRANDED MONITOR{a 1800FP{MFG Date January 2004] was give to You NEW as a gift in 2004.

You do not have a Customer number or order number as it was not purchased from Dell.{"Dell does a brisk business with resellers:; see the Story at URL;

And as You alread know the STAND ALONE MONITOR's DO NOT have Service Tag or Express Service Code.

Yes, the monitors do have a Factory bar coded label with a serial number and MFG Date and are told that is not good they{Dell] can not do anything with the Factory serial number and MFG Date Label?

Any Sugestion?

I have spent over 2 hour on the phone with CS and also emailed they want Customer number, order number, Service Tag or Express Service Code.

So Far Dell Customer Service has been "USELESS"

And Yes the monitor is starting to act up, blinking, on off, color changing, etc the well known 1800FP problems.

Any Comment? How to get Warranty Service and or How to Repair?
