2 problems about my S2409W
Just got my S2409W this Friday, found 2 problems.
1st problem: Connect laptop to monitor with VGA connection. When connect the AC power adapter to the laptop, you will see horizontal line flash on the screen. When the AC power adaptor is disconnected and the laptop is running on batteries, these lines disappear.
2nd problem: When I try to disconnect the VGA cable try another cable, I found one of the VGA connection pin was stick to the VGA cable, see below image.

* When you say screen, are you referring to the laptop screen or the stand alone S2409W? Are you using extended mode or Clone mode?
2nd problem: When I try to disconnect the VGA cable try another cable, I found one of the VGA connection pin was stick to the VGA cable, see below image.
* Unscrew it from the VGA cable and screw it back into the PC side.

1st problem: I use the extended mode, the screen is S2409W screen. And I tried connect my laptop to another Dell monitor 1907FPt, did not find the horizontal line flickering when AC adaptor is connected.
2nd problem: I will try.

Today I also tried swap the VGA cable between S2409W and 1907FPt, but using the cable orignial from 1907FPt on S2409W, still can see the horizontal line flickering.

Is the S2409W setting in the laptop video card area set to 1920x1080 at 60Hz? That is the proper resolution.

Since the issue does not occur when running the laptop on battery, I do not think the issue is with the monitor. My bet is you do not see the lines when running the monitor Self-Test Feature Check. I would run this by the Laptop General Hardware board and see what they say.
* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect all monitor cords from the PC video card
* Turn the monitor on
* The floating red/green/blue/white dialog box should appear on screen against a black background

But I do see the difference between 2 different Dell monitors, only see problem on S2409W, no problem with 1907FP when using the same monitor and same VGA cable.
