2007FP, no HDCP compatibility
I have just purchased two Dell 2007FP 20 inch monitors and I am finding that these monitors are not HDCP compatible? Is there a firmware upgrade to make them so, as I just purchased them and it doesn't work. The only way I can make it work is by using a DVI to VGA converted and connecting the monitor using a VGA lead, which is ridiculous!

The 2007FP does not support HDCP. The more expensive 2007WFP does.

Hello,
I have an old DELL 2007FP Monitor that I am using with a 2014 Mac Mini, when I try to stream Netflix on this Computer/Monitor setup I get a HDCP error and cannot view any content. However when I connect the same monitor to my Windows 10 Samsung Ativo Laptop I have no problems running Netflix and recieve no HDCP compliancy error, surely this must mean that the monitor is HDCP compliant. Can someone please explain?
Simplified Question: Why can I run Netflix on a DELL 2007FP Monitor when I connect it to my Windows 10 Laptop, but Netflix will not run through my Mac Mini when Connected to this monitor?

The 11 year old 2007FP was not designed with HDCP support. No idea on why it works on the Samsung Ativo Laptop and not the non-tested 2014 Mac Mini. You should ask the apple users on their forum.
