Does anybody know what are the changes in that new Rev?

Where did you get the info that there is a new revision?

The new Revision is already available in German Online-Shops.

See http://notebooknet.de/product_info.php?info=p3559_Dell-Ultrasharp-2709W.html

(With the release the prices were rising around 150 Euro = 200 dollars)

I would be also interested in the performed changes between Rev.A00 and the new RevA01?

This is very interesting as i have just bought a 2709W A00 and the lag definitely needs improvement. Thanks for the link.

Indeed, if Dell ever manages to get the inputlag down to an acceptable level like 15ms ;) the 2709 would suddenly become a really interesting monitor, as it is now I wouldnt touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Lets hope it really is a new rev and that the inputlag has been adressed.

Would be nice if somebody from DELL (Jimmy) would tell us what he knows about the new Revision.

If he knows something... ;)

FYI, I just recieved a brand new 2709w. It is a Rev A01, it's build date is october 2008 and it's made in the Czech Republic. So I guess people ordering now will get these revisions.

I don't have a CRT monitor so I can't check for the input lag.

Since I couldnt wait any longer for dell reps to answer whats been fixed in the rev A01 I went ahead and bought a LG 2600HP-BF S-IPS panel instead with 0-16ms of inputlag ;)

good work! maybe that's what dell wants with its "no information", so people going to buy something else.

Indeed that was my thought. Companies that don't truly understand that information and communication is important don't deserve my money.

Im always fascinated  by the simple mistakes alot of companies continue to do on a regular basis, how little communication that seems to go on between engineering depts and sales depts and how they dont seem to understand that it hurts sales.

Its a shame tho, cuz apart from the input lag issue, that we dont even know if its resolved or not, the 2709 seems like a really nice screen.

But since I wasnt able to get any info on the lag issue here or by mail or phone to dell there was no way I was gonna take my chances and order one.

I received my 2709w today and to my surprise it was version A01. I tested the input lag to be 15 to 36ms or ~30ms average. In comparison, the A00 i returned had about 60ms average.
