3007FP Sever 2003

I am struggling at getting a 3007FP to run at full res in Sever 2003. I have tried numerous video cards, from ATI and Nvidia, I even tried Server 2003 R2, but no luck. ATI cards get the obnoxious panning action where you scroll side to side up and down. I suspect this to be a driver issue, but surely there must be a solution to this. Anyone have any ideas? I appreciate it.

Here the quantity of video cards you tried are not as significant as their quality.

I am sure shortly Chris M. will post a list of cards supporting the mammoth 2560x1600 resolution of the 3007WFP.

If you don't want to wait, you can search the many many 3007WFP threads here for which cards support it.

Off the top of my head, pretty much all Nvidia 7800 + cards (including 8xxx series). Almost all AMD x1800+ cards. Stuff older than that may also support it too, but you gotta research it for the cards you got.

It sounds like you are connected to the wrong port. Try switching ports to see if that helps, a lot of cards only have one dual DVI port.

These cards were all used previously in windows XP and Vista and were able to run at full res, the one that surprised me the most was the 7900, because it has good drivers and is dual dual link (both heads are dual link!), so this is why i suspect it is a problem with drivers or somethign, remember I am using 2003 server. Cards used: X1600, 7900gs, 660GT, Quadro FX 4500.

Ahh, See that was a key bit of information left out... You didn't mention the 7900GS worked at 2560x1600 in XP, but NOT in 2k3 server.

At this point, it seems like it might be driver related. Check the Nvidia driver release notes for your version, this might be a known issue.
