Amazon purchase of U3014, Warranty issue

I am in the UK and just purchased a U3014 from Amazon. 

When I look up the monitor on the Dell support site, using my service tag, it indicates that the product was already purchasd in Germany and that the warranty is German.

Does this mean that the warranty will not be valid in the UK?   Is there something I can do to transfer the warranty to the UK so I have some comfort that I will get support if I need it?
