U3011, can't get 2560x1600 resolution

Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U3011
Computer: Medion MD 8370
Display Adapters: ATI/AMD Radeon HD 7560D + ATI/AMD Radeon HD 7670
OS: Windows 7, 64 bit

When using the Dual Link DVI-D cable, the maximum resolution is 1920 x 1080.

When using a high speed HDMI cable, the maximum resolution is 1920 x 1200.

Unfortunately the VGA doesn't have a Display Port.

According to the specs, the VGA is supposed to be able to provide 2560 x 1600 thru Dual Link DVI-D.

When surfing around, it seems this problem is quite common. So any help is highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dusu3011,

The monitor will be able to display 2560 x 1600 resolution at 60 Hz through the DVI or Display Port input sources. It can also do the same with 1920 x 1200 resolution at 60 Hz through HDMI input source.

So I'd suggest you update the video driver on the computer.

Please turn the switchable graphics ‘OFF ‘and use only the discrete ATI/AMD Radeon HD 7670 on your computer and check for the issue.

Dusu3011,

Post some pictures of the video card out ports and the ends of your DL DVI-D cable.

Don't always say that others can't drive it.
