D3218HN, HDMI, amber light

I got a new D3218HN for my new cyberpower desktop and the desktop works good but the D3218HN doesn’t. When I start it (it’s connected to HDMI) it is blank for a few seconds then says no signal, followed after a second or two it goes blank which the light that was white became amber orange. Anything I do it stays. I can’t press any button except the power button and I’m really sad because I want to record videos on this but I can’t if it’s not working.

Hi heroyouu,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your D3218HN is not performing as expected.

From the description in your post, it sounds like either the input has not been selected or the signal from the video card is not reaching the D3218HN.

Were you able to set up the resolution and refresh rate in Windows?

Please see page 10 in the online D3218HN User's Guide.

The D3218HN buttons are described on page 11. You are going to press button #4 Input Select to switch the Input to HDMI.

Image

* Turn both the PC and D3218HN off
* Disconnect the HDMI cable from both
* Disconnect the power cable from the D3218HN
* Press the D3218HN #6 power button for 8 seconds

* Reconnect the HDMI to HDMI cable to the D3218HN and the PC
* Turn the D3218HN on, then the PC
* Press the D3218HN button #4 Input Select to switch the Input to HDMI

What happens?

Post a picture of the rear of the cyberpower desktop showing us all of its ports.
