DVI-D Single or Dual link?
In my complete set (u2410) place the DVI-D single cable
Reccomended resolution - 1920x1200, Frequency - 60 Hz
BUT:
I`m read this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface and have some questions:
CITATA:
Single link (1,920 × 1,200) @ 60 Hz with CVT-RB blanking (154 MHz)
Dual link (1,920 × 1,200) @ 120 Hz with CVT-RB blanking (2 x 154 MHz)
Single link maximum data rate including 8b/10b overhead is 4.95 Gbit/s @ 165 MHz. With the 8b/10b overhead removed, the maximum data rate is 3.96 Gbit/s.
Dual link maximum data rate is limited only by the bandwidth limits of the copper the DVI cable is constructed of and by the DVI signal's source.
END CITATA
QUESTION:
If I Will buy a DVI-D Dual link cable, whether that I can to increase frequency of the monitor (resolution 1920x1200)?
