Dell 2405FPW - Dead?

I returned how from a three month trip to find that my trusty Dell 2405FPW may be dead.

There was a power outage while I was gone and when I cam back, the monitor displays nothing, the power button is neither yellow or green.

It is plugged in and connected to my IMAC but nothing doing.  It was connected to a surge protector but still nothing.

Has my faithful and trusty monitor died?  Or is there something I can do to bring it back?

Thanks in advance.

Gary

Run the 2405FPW STFC (Self Test Feature Check), page 37. If nothing appears onscreen, then yes, some internal component in the 12 year old monitor has failed.

Any standard $5 PC or monitor power cord purchased locally could be tested. But I have never seen one fail. You should ask the Apple users here what their recommendations might be for the 2013 Apple iMac.

Any chance it could be something as simple as the power cord?  Also, do you have a monitor replacement recommendation to use with my 2013 IMAC?  B&H recommended Dell  U2717D
