ST2320L, clicking noise from rear?

Hi,

Last night I began hearing a clicking noise in my study and assumed it was the heating pipes but this morning it began again and it's actually my monitor! I proved this by switching it off and after a minute or so is slowed/became quieter and eventually stopped. What is this? The monitor is only a few months old.

Any ideas?

Tracy

Thanks for this Chinmay.

All's gone quiet here at the moment but I'll do as you suggested if it is happens again and is persistent.

Thanks

Hi Tracy,

You can remove power and data cable from the monitor. Hold down the monitor power button for 10 seconds. Connect the monitor power cord straight to a A/C outlet, bypassing any surge protector or UPS and check if the same issue persists.

If the issue persists, you can reset the monitor to factory settings from the Onscreen Display (OSD)  by following the steps below:

Touch the 'Menu' button to launch the OSD menu and display the main menu and navigate to 'Other Settings' and then 'Factory Reset'.

Restart your monitor and observe if it makes any difference.

Please share the findings.

Hi Tracy,

You can observe the monitor and keep me posted with details.
