Dell U2913WM Problem

can someone help me w/ this? i just got my 29" Ultrawide monitor from dell and 2 weeks later, it comes into this.

there's no menu settings appearing on menu button, just the <- -> / X sign.

The monitor is passive, meaning it waits for the computer video card to dictate what signal it is going to send. Did you disconnect it from the computer and run the monitor BID (Built-in Diagnostics), page 58?

I did disconnect the monitor from the computer then run the diagnostic test by pressing 1st and 4th at the same time. Still no menu showing up.

* Turn off the U2913WM
* Disconnect it and all of its cabling from the computer
* Disconnect every cable from the U2913WM
* Press and hold in the U2913WM power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect only the power cord to the U2913WM

* Looking at the monitor buttons left to right, press and hold buttons 1 and 4 down for two seconds
* An all Gray screen appears
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Red
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Green
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Blue
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Black
* Press button 4. The screen changes to White
* Press button 4. The screen changes to Text
* Press button 4 to exit the test

I did that and still no menu settings appearing on the screen. Still the arrows and signs.

Since your monitor has a Service Tag number, contact Dell Technical Support for your country. Provide to them the following data so they can setup a like for like monitor exchange =
Email Address:
Name:
Shipping Address:
Phone number:
Monitor Service Tag number:
Monitor 20 digit alphanumeric PPID serial number:
Reason:
Note: Once outside of the initial 30 days from the original invoice date, the replacement will be a refurbished/used monitor
