Dell Ultrasharp UP2716D can run @50Hz?

Hi,

I bought a Dell UP2716D one weeks ago, the colors are good and the calibration is perfect directly from factory.
From the specification, as a refresh rate the monitor can cover the 50 to 75Hz range; I bought this monitor for video editing in 50fps.
In 60Hz and maximum resolution 2560x1440px everything is fine and in sync but I want to use the monitor in 50Hz - the monitor is displaying the image but frames are interpolated (source came in 50Hz but monitor is diplaying the image in 60Hz) - without frame accuracy.
I tested on DP and miniDP using nVidia Quadro 2000 (which it runs well on other monitor @50Hz), HDMI using SONY BD 1080i50 and I have the same issue - is very easy to check using any roll, crawl or this moving photo test http://www.testufo.com/#test=photo&photo=quebec.jpg&pps=960&pursuit=0&height=0The monitor has already M3T103 firmware.
How can I fix this issue?

Thank you in advance!
Gabi

The optimal monitor HDMI/HDMI/DP/mDP resolution and vertical Hz which we tested and validated is 2560x1440 60Hz. 50Hz was never validated for a monitor as shown in the User's Guide page 11 =

The MHL resolution and vertical Hz are only for MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) certified cable and source devices like smartphones, tablets, and other portable consumer electronics. Not a monitor.

That's Preset Display Modes table.

This is the Resolution Specifications

That chart is the "general" Resolution Specifications which includes both MHL and regular monitor data. We then split that information into the two charts below it. So no, this monitor was not tested to use 50Hz with a monitor. 50Hz is just for MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) certified cable and source devices like smartphones, tablets, and other portable consumer electronics.

I made a test in all other resolutions with 75 and 24 Hz and I have the same issue!

So, maybe 50 Hz is another example but even with other resolution (mentioned in the table) with mentioned refresh rate other then 60 Hz it's the same issue - the panel runs in 60 Hz even if the image is displayed.

This is an professional monitor and should run fine in this range 50 Hz - 75 Hz. There is no limitation written the manual.

Please run this vertical scroll test in 1024 x 768 @75 Hz and tell me if the text scroll smooth on this monitor.

Waiting for your answer.

My conclusion is - the monitor is displaying the image in 60Hz only even if it accept some other refresh at the input.

Best regards,

Gabi
