E151FPb Flat Panel Display using PhotoShop 7.0

  I just wanted to post a resolution to a problem I was having using PhotoShop 7.0 with my Dell Dimension 2400 and my 15" E151FPb Flat. 

  My problem was that colors were not appearing properly in PhotoShop.  The same colors displayed fine in IE or Windows Paint, but not in PS.  Basically in PS, gray color tones were showing up as a deep greensih color.  For example, the hex color #464849 showed up looking greenish.

  After doing some research, it seems that the ICC profile (file that has info about how a certain device outputs color) provided with the display drivers for the E151FPb was not working properly with PhotoShop 7.0's default settings.  You will have to modify the color settings in PS in order to get things working.

  I opened up PhotoShop 7.0 and clicked the Edit Menu --> Color Settings.  In the Settings drop down box, select "Color Management Off".  This resolved the problem and got the colors displaying properly.

  Hopefully this saved someone a couple of hours.
