E193FP, black screen, #2

I'm having the same issue: Press the power button, light goes green, screen displays for one second and then screen goes black. At this point I think the monitor must be 7 or 8 years old, so I'm thinking of just replacing it unless someone has some suggestions. It's my secondary monitor (that is, I have two connected), but I am so used to having two monitors that I don't want to give it up. Maybe I'll replace both monitors with one super one.

The E193FP released in 2005. What is the 20 digit S/N? Using that, I can tell you the actual build date. Based on the age, repairing it is not feasible since you can buy one on eBay for $39.99.
