E2216H, Laptop, HDMI to VGA, PSM

Hi,

My Dell E2216H was recognized by my laptop. I was working on both monitors (laptop and external E2216H). I don't know why my laptop no longer detects it. It goes into PSM (Power Saving Mode). I am connecting to it with HDMI-VGA adapter. I changed the adapter and the VGA cable, but I did not reach a solution. I tried to install the driver, but it asks me to connect the device, which is not possible. Can you help?
