E248WFP, connecting to a Lenovo Y570
Hello all, I have a serial number on my monitor of CN-0RN071-74261-81L-1WAU, I was wondering what kind of monitor it is? I am trying to connect it to my Lenovo Y570, nvidia geforce gtx 660m windows 7. It isn't detecting the dell monitor. I am using a HDMI to the laptop, while the dell monitor is using a VGA. I recently just purchased the cable.

E248WFP. You cannot go laptop HDMI to monitor VGA unless you use a converter like this one.

It is a HDMI to VGA

The seller notes, "This cable functions as a signal transmitter, but NOT a signal converter.". It will not work.
