Monitor exchanges based on revision numbers.

All,

There are many questions about this so I am attempting to clarify. A monitor exchange will only be done if you have proven that your monitor is defective. Additionally, if you have revision A02, we will not exchange the monitor just because A03 and A04 were released.

Concerning the monitor revisions, there is only one part number for the monitor. This means, when you initiate an exchange for a defective monitor, there is no way that we can know what revision you will receive.

Dell changes most of their models from S-IPS to PVA immediately after enough reviews have gotten out about the monitor, it's not that people are exchanging for newer revisions, they want the older revision to get what they thought they were paying for. I'm not saying that Dell is doing anything wrong, they're selling units which match the given specifications, and other OEMs do it as well, it's just that people are either trying to take advantage of Dell and get a highend S-IPS monitor for less and are intentionally playing the "Dell lottery" or else someone feels cheated because they didn't do their research.

all the facts,

2407 A02's BAND, proof enough for any exchange.
* Not exactly correct.

Banding is proof enough for any exchange.

A02 is NOT proof enough for any exchange.

Do some of the warehouses still have Rev. 03 in inventory? Or is it all Rev 04 finally?
