Monitor with many bright dead or stuck pixels. How to get this replaced/

I bought Dell ST2420L Monitor about 11 Months ago. A week back from today I found many bright dead pixels (about 6 or 7) and with a spot of off white colour, that is only visible in wite and sky blue screen. Screen looks fine with dark screen. Now All I want to know should i replace the monitor and how to coomplain dell about that, because when i go to warranty section on dell site is asks for service tag. recently i got to know that dell doesn''t provide any service tag. sSo Please guys i need suggestions because my monitor's warranty is about to expire.

umarstar,

Post some pictures of your monitor running the BID (Built-In Diagnostic) in normal office lighting so we can see the issues. See the User Guide for instructions on how to run the BID:
ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_display_projector/esuprt_Display/dell-st2420l_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf

* Go to the top of the Monitor Forum board
* Open the Announcement, FAQ Monitor
* Open "My 24" or smaller monitor does not have a Service Tag, how do I get Dell service?" (in red)

I do not see Bright Dot Pixel defects? Connect it to the computer. Boot into windows. Cange the background to all white. Post the picture. Change the background to all black. Post the picture.

Alright I'm gonna upload some more pictures in black and white background. Bright  spot is not visible in the dark background but you can see it clearly in white background within an ugly spot. hope you'll be able to see it

The first two pictures look like more of a oval impression pushed onto the panel? Like it was wiped very roughly in a circular motion and left the image?

I would not replace this monitor. But I am enforcing USA policies. Contact Dell India Order Support via email. Present the pictures to them and see what they say.
