S2417DG, no sound?
Hello,
I have an Amazon bought S2417DG monitor plugged with a DP cable to a GeForce GTX 1070 video card on my ibuypower computer. The display is fine, but I can't get any sound. I run Windows 10, and the active sound output on the Windows taskbar is indeed the S2417DG monitor. Sound volume is set to 100, both in the taskbar and directly in the monitor settings. I also tried an HDMI cable instead of the DP cable, and the result is the same (no sound, but display is fine). I tried adding an audio cable between the computer and the monitor, and I still had no sound. I even made a test by connecting my TV to my video card, and I did have sound with this setup. So the problem really seems to be the S2417DG monitor. Can you help me with this?

The S2417DG does not have built-in speakers. You need to connect powered speakers (not headphones) to the bottom Line-out port, page 10. Or headphones to the side port. The volume for the side port is in the Menu- Volume, page 33.
