There was once a time when 16 colours was regarded as top notch for a computer's display. Can you not find it in your heart to give this standard VGA display a chance again? You can still "see" what's goin on right? Perhaps someone is being a bit "colour" greedy?... Oh, the good old days. Where have you gone... where have you gone... You need to install your video driver my friend. =)

That is normal for standard vga.
Install your video display drivers, either through the 3rd party list or dell resource cd.
reboot.

Just install the video driver in the system and for sure you will have more that 16 colors. And you can even change your screen area or resolution of your system.
Good Luck!

what's your video card? perhaps i could send you the link for the driver. if you're not sure what it is, take a look at your packing slip (list of components w/c came w/ the system). if you lost the packing slip, you can call dell's tech support & ask for assistance for the installation.
***hopefully, you get a chance to speak w/ the Manila techs, really knowledgeable.
