I recently bought two P2217H monitors off eBay and have them in a dual screen setup. However, I have noticed that one seems more red and the other seems more yellow when put side by side, the brightness also seems to be different and the brightness/contrast "range" one one seems bigger than the other. Looking on the back, one says "P2217H" whilst the other says "P2217Hc" could this be the cause? I've tried calibrating by eye, but using the custom color I can't seem to get it quite right, does anyone have any suggestions?
The "c" is just a Dell notation of the factory. There is only one model, P2217H. What you should notate is the build dates and the revisions on the back labels. All Dell monitors are uniquely calibrated at the factory to their manufacturer specifications. But, no two panels are identical. To get a closer match, you will need to purchase monitor calibration hardware (colorimeter) and software. For my notes, send me via Private Message the monitor service tag numbers.
