P2416D, 2011 Nvidia GTX 560 Ti, HDMI, no 2560x1440?

Jump to solution

Hello,

I have just bought Dell P2416D. I have plugged the cables, started the PC and everything works fine, but the highest resolution of 2560 x 1440 can't be achieved. I am using HDMI cable to connect the monitor and GeForce GTX 560 Ti. I have re-installed the drivers for the graphic card but still the same results. I have checked specifications for my graphic card again, and it says that it supports Maximum Digital Resolution of 2560x1600 so perhaps it shouldn't be the problem. Can you provide me more information on this?

Thanks,
Bojan

For the 2011 GTX 560 Ti, you have to use the Nvidia Control Panel to setup a Custom Resolution. See this and this. Or simply invest in a new video card with DP (DisplayPort) out port.
