P2416D Monitor Max Resolution

I purchased a Dell monitor P2416D from the online store but my computer (Inspiron 620) does not support the highest resolution 2560x1440. My current resolution is 2048*1152.

I already upgrade the graphic card driver and restart my computer several times but the issue still exists. Is there anything I need to do with the settings or do I need to upgrade my graphic card?

With your 300w power supply, you need to purchase a low end PCIe x16 video card that has a DP (DisplayPort) out.

It should work. You could also look for a higher wattage power supply to replace ours. Then, you could use even better video cards.
