P2417H, Strange stripes and artifacts
Hi,
I´m owner of Dell monitor P2417H and I have an issue with the screen itself. In irregular intervals there are appearing some stripes or even uncomfortable artifacts on the top of the screen.(You can see it in the videos)
At first, I have sent my graphic card to the service in order to use warranty, because I thought, that it had to be some problem with graphic card, but it was not. They told me, that the graphic card was OK. So I have even tried to buy a new DP cable and nothing literally changed. I must add that this problem also appears when I´m playing on my PlayStation 3 via HDMI.
Will you please help me to solve this?, it is very irritating and hard get use to.

* Boot the computer into its BIOS, do you see the issue there?
Take the computer, operating system, software, and cabling out of the troubleshooting equation. Run the standalone monitor BID (Built-in Diagnostics) page 55.
- If you see the issue in the BID colored screens, then the monitor itself is faulty. Get it exchanged.
- If you do not see the issue on the BID colored screens, then the monitor itself is fine. The fault must be the computer, operating system, video card, video card driver, or cabling.
