P2719HC, daisy chain with P2214H

Trying to output a feed from my new P2719HC which supports daisy chaining with DP1.2 to my older Dell P2214H which seems to support DP 1.2a.  Is this possible? In other word, can I use a DP1.2 monitor to feed into another monitor that is not MST or they both have to be MST 1.2.

Thank you in advance.

For my Dell notes, click my name and private message me the P2719HC service tag number.

Note - Dell never tested the 2019 P2719HC with the 2014 P2214H.

In theory =

PC video DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> P2719HC DP in port (Menu- Display- MST On)
P2719HC DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> P2214H DP in port

To head off the next question, what about using the P2719HC USB Type-C in port then setting up the DP out port to other monitor?

Unknown. The P2719HC User's Guide page 31 specifically shows the usage of MST daisy chain using the PC DP out port. It does not show daisy chain using the USB Type-C in port.

That is what I am doing USB C (in), DP to DP port to P2214H but it doesnt do anything and 22 inch continues to look for source.

Where should I find the service tag #?

Correct. The P2719HC User's Guide does NOT show a DP MST daisy chain starting from PC USB Type-C out port. It only shows on page 31 the DP MST daisy chain starting from PC DP out port.

Which is why I stated using DP out FROM the PC =

PC video DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> P2719HC DP in port (Menu- Display- MST On)
P2719HC DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> P2214H DP in port

There is no mention of this requirement on Dell site.  I bought this monitor so I can cut the hub out and use USB-C as an input so I can charge my laptop while daisy chaining the monitors using DP.  Clearly your testing was insufficient and your advertising is false.  I am returning the monitor and switching to a different brand.
