P2815Q, input timing warning message
Hi everybody, I have recently bought a P2815Q monitor and although it is in good working order I receive the following warning message when I boot up " The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timings to 3840x2160@30hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications".
I have adjusted the timings and resolution in both Control Panel> Display and Nvidia Control Panel but still cannot get rid of this nonsense. What do I have to do?

I have finally got the Mini DP to DP cable. I connected it and to my dismay there was no display on the monitor even when I selected the input from the OSD. Reconnect the HDMI and even that didn't work. However I restarted the PC and selected Mini DP in Nvidia Control Panel. It finally worked and the warning has gone. Apparently the problem is that the HDMI cable only supports 30 Hz refresh rate, hence the warning. Thanks for help.

What system model? Operating system? Video card? How is the monitor attached to the video card?

Hi, I run a self built rig with an Intel i7 4960x CPU, 2 x Nvidia GTX 690 GPU's, 32GB RAM, OCZ Vector 512GB SSD. Windows 7 64 bit OS, connected to monitor via HDMI.

According to this page, the GTX 690 does not have an HDMI out port? So how are you connecting it to the P2815Q HDMI in?
Does your GTX 690 have a mDP port? If yes, can you test in this way?
Computer video card GTX 690 mDP out --> Dell mDP to DP cable --> P2815Q DP in
In this setup, do you still get the input timing warning message?

Thanks Chris, I don't have a display port cable but omitted to mention that I have the other end hooked up to one of the 690's via an HDMI-DVI adapter. I will order a DP cable but thought there may be some way to suppress the warning in Display Manager ?
BTW when I watch TV on Windows Media Centre it also gives me a warning that WMC "may not run correctly" with 4K but it works great.

There should have been a Dell mDP to DP cable in the P2815Q box?

So using Mini DP to DP cable, press the monitor Menu button. What does the Menu screen state at the bottom for Resolution and Maximum?
