P3418HW, XPS 9560, DDM error

Hi,

Today after restarting my note, I couldn't use the DDM (Dell Display Manager). The Message =

Dell Display Manager Error - This program requires a supported Dell Monitor and connection, and compatible display driver.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks.

Sorry no. Try emailing dell.support@entechtaiwan.com directly, with a link to this thread so they can see what you've already done.

You need to update to a compatible display driver - grab the latest directly from Intel here. (You may need to install the driver manually.)

didn't work, have any ideas or alternatives besides waiting the next update?

What does "didn't work" mean exactly? While holding down the SHIFT key, right-click on the DDM system tray icon and select "Save diagnostic report" from the popup menu; then post the content of that report. Minimally, the report will show if you are using an incompatible display driver.

That's not a complete diagnostic report.

1. Close and exit DDM

2. Restart DDM from scratch

3. Save the Diagnostic report again

4. Post it in its entirety here

Your Windows device configuration looks to have problems.

1. Open the “Run” dialog box by pressing and holding the Windows key, then press the R key (“Run”)
2. Enter "devmgmt.msc" and click OK to start Device Manager
3. Delete (uninstall) every entry listed *under* the "Monitors" category (NOT the "Monitors" category itself!)
4. Delete (uninstall) every entry listed *under* the "Display adapters" category (NOT the "Display adapters" category itself!)
5. Go up to the Action menu, and select "Scan for hardware changes"

Try DDM again.

it didn`t work... the problem continues the same.

the message - this program requires a supported dell monitor and connection, and compatible display driver. Check your display driver, cables and connection.

Anything else u suggest?
