Registering a new monitor
Today I purchased my new E1709W Widescreen monitor from a seller on Ebay. Brand new, boxed and sealed but I can't find anywhere on this site to be able to register it. I'm asked to enter the TAG code!!!
Anyone got any ideas on how to register it? thanks in advance.

As Mary said, you will need to contact the eBay seller.
Taken from a Dell Moderator's post...
"Reseller monitor warranty policy (Ebay)
Contact the reseller and get his Dell order number for the monitor. That order number will tell us the start and end date of the warranty. If he paid for the warranty, we can transfer the monitor warranty into your name. If he cannot provide a Dell order number, he most likely did not buy the warranty coverage and bought them from us in as is condition."

Monitors do not have a service tag and you can't register monitors bought separately. Monitors sold with computers use the computer's tag. Monitors are warrantied by Dell--if you bought from them. Since you bought on Ebay and not Dell, contact the seller for the warranty info. Ebay is a secondary market, not Dell.
