S2009W Flat Panel Monitor
My front panel is out of use. No matter what button I click, the same image occur on the screen: a lock. Have I locked the buttons in some way? How do I unlock them? I have calibrated my monitor with ColorVision but surely that cannot have anything to do with this? I need to be able to use these buttons in order to calibrate the monitor again.

To unlock the monitor controls and get rid of the Lock, press and hold the monitor Menu button for about 10-15 seconds.

OK, that worked. I guessed that the answer would be an easy one. We must have locked it by mistake. But why is this not in the user handbook since it is not something one can easily guess? I now see that this question has been on this forum before so I am not alone.

It is. Open the online Manual. Click Operating the Monitor. Look for Menu Lock.
