S2318H, audio in source
Hello Guys,
First of all, I want to apologize for my english.
But I'm here to ask you if can the HDMI cable transmit audio to the S2318H monitor or will I need the P2 cable too? I'm asking it, because I was reading the OSD Menu Instructions and there is a part where it is written that you can configure the audio source from PC Audio or HDMI, but when I call Dell's support in my country (Brazil), they speak that I need to use the P2 cable. My problem is that I want to use this monitor like a TV, for gaming and to connect my satelite receptor, that only have a HDMI output.

This should work to give you both video and audio =
satellite HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> S2318H HDMI in port
S2318H Menu- Audio- Audio Source = HDMI
But you have to go to the satellite audio control panel to direct the audio out via HDMI.
The S2318H also has the Audio Line in port which could connect to the satellite Audio Line out port via a standard 3.5mm audio cable.
