S2417DG, flashing colors, randomly reappearing
So it started doing the exact same as described in several of the threads I discovered while looking for the issue. When un-checking the two options in the FSM (factory service menu), it works again. But will reappear later randomly. I've had the S2417DG for about 2 years and it just started doing this.
Can this be fixed without returning the monitor?

Sounds like the firmware is resetting itself? If still inside the purchased warranty period, read this. If not under warranty, all you can do is make the changes in the FSM (Factory Service Menu) and keep the S2417DG from powering off. Instead, keep it powered on and allow the operating system to use a screensaver. Doing this should retain the changes you made in the FSM.
