S2440L, AC adapter GXYHH?

Hi Chris,

I lost my power adapter to my S2440L monitor. I tried ordering one through Dell and have received TWO power cables instead! Please help! I have been transferred so many times through multiple timezones and continents that my head is spinning!

Hi Chris, I talked with the Parts Dept, the Technical Support dept., the Warranty dept., and I think the Sales dept. At NO time were they able to help me get the power adapter. Finnaly a gentleman found one on Amazon. So, that's where I directed my business.

Likewise, I needed to order a power adapter for my Dell S2440L.  I was hopeful when I found this post, and called the number listed.  I had the model of the monitor, the same manufacturer and model number listed as Newman above, and the advice from Dell-Chris.  During the phone call, we established my billing address, my shipping address, and the number of employees that I have.  What that has to do with it, I have no idea.  This should be no problem, I thought, armed with all the information I have.  I mean, how tricky can this be?  But something was wrong: "This is for a laptop, right?"  No, a monitor.  "You are looking for a power supply?" No, an adapter.  "Can I have the service tag off the CPU?"  I built my own. On like that for twenty minutes, with me knowing this would not end well.  So how hard is it for Dell to look up a part from their manufacturer,  even when provided a model number?  

Does anywhere sell the GXYHH AC Adapter, 40Watt, Delta, 12 Volt DC, for S2740L/S2440L/S2340L/S2340M/S2240L/S2240M/S2240T. I have looked on amazon, called Dell spare parts, and talked to dell chat. No luck.

GXYHH was the 40w AC adapter for the following monitors and computers:
S2240L, S2240M, S2240T, S2340L, S2340M, S2440L, S2740L, Laptop Vostro 3350, Desktop XPS 8700

You can buy one here:

Call Dell Spare Parts 1-800-357-3355 and ask for price and availability of the Dell part number GXYHH. If we do not have it, there are several eBay sellers here for part GXYHH.
