U2412M, rotating to portrait mode

I have been using the monitor in landscape mode for several years. I have just been given a larger (Benq) monitor and would now like to use this Dell monitor as a secondary monitor but in portrait mode. Is it OK to have the main monitor landscape and secondary portrait? Do I need any special drivers to use the Dell in portrait mode? Are there any special actions I need to take, or do I just rotate the monitor  physically? I am using Windows 7, Sapphire Radeon R7 250 Silent video card.
