U2415 Monitor: "no dp cable" with Inspiron 1774
I've got brand new Dell Inspiron 1774, works great. Got brand new Dell U2415 Monitor to go with it. I connect the Dell to the laptop using a HDMI cable as there is no Display Port on the Inspiron. When I start the monitor I get "No DP Cable". I have tried swapping out the HDMI cable for another, I have tried connecting the DP to USB 3 cable, i've tried installing the drivers etc. Nothing seems to work. Any help appreciated.

Hi,
Did you set the input source to HDMI?
Display port is selected as default input source in most currently shipping monitors.

Computer HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U2415 HDMI in port
Press the U2415 Menu button, go to Input Source, choose HDMI 1 or HDMI 2
