U2415, goes into hibernate every 5 minutes
I am hoping for a remedy.
I just received a beautiful Dell U2415 monitor and ever since the first time I turned it on it will not stay on. If I turn it off and back on it works for 5-10 minutes and goes off again. A message appears that states 'entering power saving mode hibernate'. Sometimes I have to restart my computer. (not good)
The monitor has the Revision AO1. I have read here on the forum to understand why but am stuck.
I have reinstalled the drivers, did the reset procedure, turned off the W7 screensaver slide show, unhooked the USB 3 cable, changed the W7 sleep mode to never turn off the monitor, and nothing changed the symptoms.
Anybody else have this problem? If so did you fix yours? Does it need to go back to Dell in order to get it fixed?
Windows 7 32 bit, Nvidia GTX 750 TI graphics card, Dell XPS 420 computer.

The problem is solved!
I reformatted to W7 64 bit. It's been about 3-4 weeks and the monitor has not turned off once.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I guess W7 32 bit just can't handle this monitor.

We do not repair monitors, we exchange them. Explain how you are connecting the U2415 to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti.

From the GeForce GTX 750 Ti DVI connection the cable goes up to the monitor using a DVI to HDMI adapter plugged into #1 HDMI socket.
The monitor turned off only a few times yesterday. I used the computer a lot yesterday but did no changes to anything. Tonight it is turning off again.
I am planning to reinstall Windows 7 Ultimate using the 64 bit version after Christmas. Would that help with the monitor issue?

Chris,
I just noticed that you listed my video car as having a DVI-D and a DVI-I.
I know there are two DVI connections but don't know which one I am hooked to. Are they different?

They are and do different resolutions. Tests them both.

If you can replicate the issue on a different computer, then the monitor is faulty. Changing the operating system might be a good test.
