I would like to Daisy Chain the two monitors using MST.

I've applied the instructions from this post but had no success in setting this up.

Any help is much appreciated.

The other thread had a different laptop, different monitor, and no TB16 dock.

Click my name and send me a private message with the U2417H service tags.

The act of daisy chaining from the TB16 is hit and miss. It is totally dependent on the Laptop drivers being fully updated and functional with daisy chaining (BIOS, Thunderbolt, GPU, USB 3.0, USB GBE, USB Audio). Also, read through the TB16 User's Guide.

NOTE = PC's requiring more than 130w power input must also be connected to their own power adapter for charging and operating at full performance.

In theory, this is how you would set that up =
TB16 TB3/USB Type-C cable --> Laptop USB Type-C
TB16 DP out port --> DP to mDP cable --> #1 monitor mDP in port (MST On or DP 1.2 Enabled)
#1 monitor DP out port --> DP to mDP cable --> #2 monitor mDP in port (MST Off or DP 1.2 Disabled)

A simpler setup would be to NOT daisy chain =
TB16 TB3/USB Type-C cable --> Laptop USB Type-C
TB16 DP out port --> DP to mDP cable --> #1 monitor mDP in port (MST Off or DP 1.2 Disabled)
TB16 mDP out port --> mDP to DP cable --> #2 monitor DP in port (MST Off or DP 1.2 Disabled)
