U2515H, unable to see the menu, screen is blank

All of a sudden, my U2515H has gone blank and does not respond to any of the the menu buttons. I can see the power LED consistently on but no display on the screen.

I tried all the methods explained in the troubleshooting section of the manual but none of them worked. It is fairly a new monitor and not sure what else to do?

Problem is I'm not able to see any of the menus that normally appeared and not sure how to even self test it or reset it to factory settings.

Any help is much appreciated.

First, I need some data =
* To what computer model is the monitor attached?
* What video card/GPU is in the computer?
* What video out ports are on the video card/GPU or computer?
* List all monitor cabling attached to the computer and the ports they are using

And how long was the U2515H functioning in this setup before this issue appeared?
HP ProBook 430 HDMI 1.4a out port --> retail HDMI to HDMI cable --> U2515H HDMI in port

Did you test the second HDMI in port on the bottom of the U2515H? Remember, you have to choose the specific HDMI in port you connected to in the Menu -Input Source.

* Turn both the laptop and the U2515H off
* Disconnect every cable (including power cable) from the bottom of the U2515H
* Press and hold in the U2515H power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect only the power cable to the U2515H
* Turn the U2515H on. You should see one of these two messages =
No HDMI (MHL) 1 Cable. The display will go into Power Save Mode in 5 minutes
No HDMI (MHL) 2 Cable. The display will go into Power Save Mode in 5 minutes
* If you do, turn the U2515H off

* Open the laptop lid
* Turn the laptop on
* Once into Windows, connect the HDMI to HDMI cable to the U2515H leftmost HDMI in port
* Turn the U2515H on
* Press the U2515H Menu button
* Go to Input Source
* Choose HDMI(MHL) 1
* Exit the Menu

* Use the Windows operating system to enable the U2515H as Extended

Thanks you for your response.

This setup was working yesterday, all of a sudden the monitor went into power save mode and since then it has been like this.

I tried what you have suggested but still no luck. It is still the same, screen is blank and I did NOT see any message showing

No HDMI (MHL) 1 Cable. The display will go into Power Save Mode in 5 minutes
No HDMI (MHL) 2 Cable. The display will go into Power Save Mode in 5 minutes

So you did the power button/cable reset and still have nothing.

* When was this monitor purchased?
* Was this monitor purchased directly from Dell?
* What is the 20 digit s/n and A0x revision. Check the back label
* Does the BID (Built-in Diagnostics) run?

Get it exchanged. If this monitor has a Service Tag number, that number will denote the 3 year warranty period. If this monitor did not receive a Service Tag number, the 3 year warranty period starts from the manufacturer build date found in the 20 digit S/N. In your case, 5AU = 10/30/15. So even if you do not have a Service Tag number, your covered to 10/30/18.
