U2518D, not working with HDMI to DP cable
Hello,
I've just bought an Dell U2518D so I could connect it with an Apple MacBook Pro via the DP to mDP cable. But, when I try to connect with my ThinkPad Carbon X1 laptop (only has HDMI out, no mDP out) with an HDMI to DP cable, it's not working. How to fix it?

For my notes, click my name and send me the U2518D service tag number via a Private Message.
It cannot work. A source PC HDMI out port cannot upconvert to a monitor DP in or mDP in. You will have to connect like this =
ThinkPad Carbon X1 HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U2518D HDMI in port
