U2520D, MacBook Pro M1 2020, Type-C cables

HI folks,

I'm using provided type-c to connect MBP to u2520d monitor. Everything works fine (video, audio...), but the downstream usb ports (3 type-a, 1 type-c) get only power, no data transfering at all. I wonder:

1. Are they supposed to be able to transfer data?
2. If yes, does the provided type-c cables support it?
3. If no, what type/specs of cable can I buy to have them work? (video, audio, downstream data, downstream power)
