I can't seem to get my U2711 to full HD over a passive DP-DVI converter (yeah, I know it's strange! And I do also run full resolution over both DP, dual-link DVI and HDMI). Even after installing a proper screen driver, it wont go beyond 1600*1200 (and I need full-HD)... (Both windows and Intel utils say custom resolutions are not supported - and do not offer FullHD as a listed resolution)
Does anyone have a clue what I might be missing here? Thanks for any input.

Sorry, my mistake: Under the "Intel HD Graphics ControlPanel", "Custom Resolutions" can be added. And 1920*1080/60hx/GTF does indeed work!
I'm still puzzled why it is not listed by default?! This is even stranger than the HDMI presenting itself as only FullHD...
